Network for Endangered Sea Turtles
NC Wildlife and N.E.S.T.
In the Outer Banks, the Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (N.E.S.T.) is an all-volunteer organization permitted
by NC Wildlife Resources Commission to monitor and respond to sea turtle activity from Oregon Inlet to the NC/VA state line.
The following application is for volunteers interested in assisting NCWRC and N.E.S.T. with the NC Sea Turtle Project and/or
the Marine Mammal Stranding Network. Upon completion of the application your email will be added to our list-serve from
which you will hear about volunteer trainings and opportunities. We look forward to working with you!
Federal requirements require N.E.S.T. volunteers to attend a series of trainings before volunteering at sea turtle events.
Most volunteers need to be in the area for a month or more (or travel frequently) to take advantage of volunteer opportunities.
If you are unable to volunteer long term but would like to keep up with N.E.S.T. activity through our email listserve, check the
box below, skip the remaining questions, and hit "submit" at the bottom of the page.
If you are already a N.E.S.T. Volunteer and would like to update your information please
