Mike was not far into his ATV run at 5:58 am when he came across turtle tracks AND Momma Turtle still laying her eggs!  She did a bit of a loopy loop at the top of the dune then made a 90 degree turn and found the perfect spot.  We tried to mark the egg chamber with a string but feared Momma had moved it. But Shelley and Louise made a great response team and Shelley found the egg chamber on her second try.  We got to see her return to the ocean at 7:26 am.

Momma Turtles loopy tracks to find the perfect location for her nest – you can see her off to the right laying her eggs.
