June 4th 2011 Nest#1: A false crawl was reported by N.E.S.T. ATV rider around 5:45 AM. Tides indicated that
the Loggerhead was probably on the beach between 9PM and 10PM because we could see she left the beach slightly after high tide. Just over 4 miles south of the false
crawl, the same ATV rider then found a successful nest. The crawl width and time match up to indicate that this was probably the same Loggerhead. We suspect that
she made a second attempt sometime between 11PM and 2AM.
