Network for Endangered Sea Turtles 24 HR. HOTLINE 252-441-8622

Wildlife rehabilitators often rely on the kindness of the community to reach their goals.  A wonderful example of this occured yesterday.  Vortex the sea turtle needed a CT scan to further evaluate the head wound.  Normally we would travel to the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, but we hoped to spare this turtle such a long trip.  Luckily, Albemarle Health Regional Medical Center offered to help us out.  The welcome and care we received was top notch!!  We’ll update you on the prognosis as soon as all of the images have been reviewed by our veterinarians.
