N.E.S.T. Education Chair, Elaine Lubosch, recently visted the Stokesdale Elementary School in Greensboro, NC to give an annual presentation on N.E.S.T. activities.  Year after year these students collect monies for N.E.S.T. and collect donations of needed items–they totally rock! This year they presented Elaine with paper bags with lots of turtle drawings (we take these to Outer Banks Hotline to distribute). In addition, they presented a check for $155.54 that the 4th grade classes raised. Even though Greensboro is not near the beach, these students are sharing their turtle knowledge by telling others to keep their porch lights off so as not to distract nesting females or hatchlings! Thank you Stokesdale!!!
