For those of us patrolling the beaches in Nags Head and KDH on Sundays it has been years since we found a nest. Are we hexed? Is it because Sunday is a special day of rest for mother sea turtles? the crowded beaches on Saturday night? or just a turtle thing? We don’t know but seasoned ATV rider, Peggy C, finally broke the curse this morning and found a nest in Nags Head!  Congratulations Peggy!

ATV rider, Peggy C, and responder, Bob M, in the wee hours of this morning

Mama turtle had a little zig zag in her step and crossed over her incoming tracks on her way back to the ocean.
