Darlene, lead responder for Nest 26, contemplates her strategy on how to find the eggs in this crazy green nest. Green sea turtles are known for large nest mounds that can be tough to read.
I bet Darlene, lead responder for Nest 26, reluctantly thanked her husband Dave (ATV rider) for finding this nest on her response day! Another tough green nest. Yikes! We found about about this nest from three different sources, a beach goer who saw the turtle on the beach last night, the driver of a morning trash truck and Dave! Thanks to all!!

The body pit of this nest was big enough to take a nap in!
A lot of digging went on before the eggs were found.

People are still smiling

they must have found the eggs!

thanks to everyone on Team 26! hot day and stupendous job!!!
