A loggerhead nest this morning in Nags head. Yes!! sometimes things of nature are just plan beautify as is this crawl made by this morning’s mother loggerhead.

The beautiful swirls of a loggerhead crawl
The response team led by Pam and Bob M found the eggs in one try i.e. one hole. It has been pointed out to me that it the “one hole” terms really depends on the size of the hole. The ever popular swimming pool that consolidates many holes (many tries) or one small discrete hole made on the first try. Pam and Bob made it on the first try and they were off the beach in just over an hour. Congratulations P and B!!!

The eggs found after a little digging.

The crown of the nest exposed so that data loggers can be installed.
