Network for Endangered Sea Turtles 24 HR. HOTLINE 252-441-8622

As the OBX Parrot Head Club says on their website www.obxparrotheadclub.com “OBX Pirates Parrot Head Club is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental concerns and provide a variety of social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies”

The membership took time out from their gathering for music and tropical lifestyle to present a donation to The Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (N.E.S.T.) to assist with the survival of sea turtles.

As Jimmy Buffet says in his song A Pirate Looks At Forty:

The members of the OBX Parrot Head Club present the donation to Chris Pruitt, N.E.S.T. Treasurer, with George and Dennis N.E.S.T. members standing by with smiles.

Mother, mother ocean, I’ve heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters
Since I was three feet tall
You’ve seen it all, you’ve seen it all

It appears that the OBX Parrot Head Club may have changed the first line of that song to read:

Mother, mother TURTLE, I’ve heard you call

The members of NEST and the sea turtles wish to thank all the folks of the OBX Parrot Head Club for their support.
