Network for Endangered Sea Turtles 24 HR. HOTLINE 252-441-8622

Jon Cece, our President, recently received an interesting email from Logan, a senior at North Lenoir High School in LaGrange, NC (GO HAWKS !!). She explained that for years she wanted to help protect sea turtles in North Carolina but because she did not live close enough to the coast to volunteer her time, she instead decided to raise funds for local sea turtle conservation groups. With a little help from her family, she created the TURTLE TIDE apparel brand and then developed a website to sell her t-shirts on-line. After completely selling out of her first set of shirts, she wanted to personally give her donation to John. Earlier this month, John met Logan and her family at the NC Aquarium at Roanoke Island to both collect her donation and introduce her to other N.E.S.T. volunteers and some of the STAR Center’s patients. During their meeting she explained TURTLE TIDE’s operations and that she had decided early on to donate an incredible 35% of the sales, yes 35%, to N.E.S.T.  As result of all her family’s time and effort, and Logan’s amazing generosity, she raised $507.00 for N.E.S.T !!

Due to the successful sale of her first set of shirts, Logan is currently designing another set of shirts that will go on sale later this year. So please help support Logan and N.E.S.T. by visiting the TURTLE TIDE website https://turtletide.square.site You can also follow her efforts on Facebook under Turtle Tide and Instagram under turtletideapparel.

Please join John in thanking this amazing young entrepreneur for her dedication to sea turtle conservation.
